How and Why Should You Repipe Your Home

The first question we encourage our clients to ask is why. There are so many reasons to re-pipe your home. No reasons are alike. We can help you with our repiping services.

  • Leaking Copper Pipes: If your copper pipes are in the habit of leaking, they most likely need replacing. Take a look at when they were put in. Was it when the house went up? Was it during a remodeling job? You need to investigate each and every one of these things. Do you really want to drink out of rusted pipes or leaky ones?
  • Illegal Pipework: This will happen from time to time. Contractors, even the licensed ones, have been known to use piping that wasn’t up to code. If the piping is not up to code, there is usually a reason behind it.
  • Other Considerations: The chemical solutions could, over time, eat away at the piping. This happens more than you realize. Many of our clients have been too quick to dismiss it, and then they end up with piping that is worse for wear. I encourage all of our clients to not let this happen to you.

If any one of these has already happened, then seriously consider calling us.

This is a common question that we get. I usually tell clients that it depends on the job itself. For some of the easier jobs, it takes less than a day. For some of the more complicated jobs, it could take several. If the piping has been worn away to the point of no return, this will increase the time it takes to do the re-piping. This is why I encourage our clients to take care of it ASAP.

Why Should My Regular Plumber Take the Job?

There are things about the piping system that a regular plumber does know or is aware of. Regular plumbers do a good job, and their knowledge and expertise extends so much.

A regular plumber has the expertise to get the job done. With any kind of repiping, you need more then experience on your side, you need someone who knows what they are doing.
